Amazon wins with cut-rate prices and convenience. That attitude is what has put America where we are today. We pay too little, which means we have no clue the value of what we’re buying or what goes into it. We cripple under convenience, unable to strive for anything beyond the simple. We are controlled by a falsified needs and succumb to an unsustainable model, at least where individual humanity is concerned.
It’s a small cog in a great trouble. There’s still a lot about SOPA I need to understand, but at this point I would like us to stop worrying about how things are shared on the internet, and start worrying about what’s going on in our brick and mortar world, before we glance up from the computer screen and find nothing left.
