The last few months have been a serious whirlwind. Job, boyfriend, just general madness. Now I’m on a new horse. I’m going to commit to more time on my own (hard as that is when I love my man so) which means more tumblr which seems counterproductive to a healthy life in general but whatever. Am also joining a gym, looking for a different second job, making shawls for hospital patients, and following a creep ton of New Year resolutions — the later of which, I hope sharing will make much easier.
Today’s mission: be a quasi-invalid.
Kids are nasty buckets of germs that want hugs!!! A few days ago I subbed at a pre-school where they asked me to sanitize all the toys because a bunch of kids have been sick. Over the course of my Saturday I got deeper and deeper into some mystery virus that left me aching, twitching, and dizzy in my concert seat (saw Einstein on the Beach, but that’s a whole other story). Pretty sure it’s not the flu, but it’s no doubt unpleasant. So today I decided to stay home and just nap and lay and nothing. Would have a clean room contribute to my positive health? Probably. But not today, no. I’m just going to lay here, work on a blanket (which will be sanitized before I gift it, trust) and heal so I can go to work at 4.
It’s a good year.
